Todd Lanter

Director of Transportation

Todd Lanter has been around warehousing and logistics his entire life.  His uncle began a refrigerated distribution business in St. Louis in the late 60’s.  His father joined the company shortly after and expanded the business into Kansas City.  Over the next 40 years, the business grew into a full service 3PL (warehousing, trucking and transportation management) as Lanter Logistics.  Working in underground docks during summer breaks through high school and college, Todd began his logistics career in 1999 as a Transportation Analyst for a new Transportation Management division of Lanter.  There he designed and developed a Transportation Management System (TMS) and advanced to General Manager of Transportation during his tenure.  In 2004, Lanter Logistics was acquired by Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OHL).  Todd remained with OHL as Director Transportation Operations.  He joined Henningsen Cold Storage in 2009 as Director of Transportation with the Henningsen Transportation Services division.

Mr. Lanter is active with the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), and serves as a board member of GCCA’s International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA).  He is a graduate of the World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO) Institute, and now instructs transportation related courses at the WFLO Institute.  He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA).  He is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis, and a minor in Psychology.
