Henningsen Purchases School Supplies for Associates' Children

(Hillsboro, Ore.) September 10, 2010 - Henningsen Cold Storage for the fifth year in a row has purchased school supplies for the children of its associates companywide. Henningsen is committed to making sure our associates' children start the school year off right. At the end of July our General Managers start collecting the school supply lists from the children's schools, assemble a volunteer team and head out to purchase the needed supplies, including backpacks. The company spends an average of $35 to $40 per child, this year we purchased supplies for 176 children from kindergarten to 12th grade.

"We are very happy to provide this special benefit to our associates," said Mike Henningsen, Chairman and President of Henningsen Cold Storage. "Our associates have enough on their minds these days with the costs of everyday living; we hope this benefit alleviates some of the stress of back to school shopping."
